Bali Devata harus bermain dengan 10 orang pemain ketika pertandingan baru berjalan 15 menit, menyusul kartu merah yang diterima Ketut Mahendra karena pelanggaran keras terhadap pemain tuan rumah.
Selang lima menit kemudian, giliran pemain Persibo Aang Suparman yang diganjar kartu merah karena memukul pemain Bali Devata, Komang Adnyana.
"Kami memang bermain dibawah standar, karena ada tiga pilar kami yang tidak bisa diturunkan," kata Pelatih Bali Devata, Willy Scheepers, usai pertandingan.
Namun, ia mengaku cukup puas dengan hasil imbang ini karena anak asuhnya masih bisa bermain bagus dan sering membahayakan Persibo.
"Kami punya beberapa peluang mencetak gol, tetapi penjaga Persibo memang bermain bagus. Sepuluh menit sebelum bertandingan berakhir, anak-anak memang saya instruksikan menyerang," ujar Willy.
Pelatih Persibo, Sartono Anwar, mengatakan anak asuhnya sudah bermain sangat maksimal, namun gagal memanfaatkan peluang. Gol balasan terjadi karena lini belakang timnya lengah dan kehilangan konsentrasi.
"Anak-anak sudah tampil bagus tapi masih mengecewakan," katanya.
